HAVING won the Enduro 6 for three years running, and the Nocturne TT for five years, Patterson Training's Jenn O'Connor was determined to maintain her record at Catton Park.

O'Connor arrived at the track to find that her bike had not been delivered and she had to borrow a replacement.

She did, however, win the women's TT without incident while partner Andy finished fifth in the elite men.

The main event of the weekend was the Enduro 6, a six-hour lap race.

On a very dry, dusty and bumpy Catton Park course, O'Connor forged a significant lead in the first few hours and won, completing 12 laps in just over six hours, a lap up on the second and third-placed riders.

In the second round of the National Series at Sherwood Pines, the UCI C1 status had attracted a world class lineup.

Top-ten riders Rosara Joseph and Mary McConneloug, Slovak National champion Janka Stevkova were all in contention for the UCI points, as well as regular faces Jenny Copnall, Amy Hunt and Kate Potter.

Sherwood Pines is a flat and fast course with plenty of obstacles and, thanks to the showers, slick sections.

After surviving a pile-up at the log-stack on the third lap, O'Connor entered the final stretch looking to hold onto fourth place.

McConneloug finished in first, five minutes up on Joseph, with Copnall third and O'Connor pipping Stevkova for fourth.

Patterson was racing in the hugely popular Masters race, and set off in the middle of 70 riders.

After the riders had enjoyed fairly dry conditions, torrential rain limited his overtaking options and he ended the race in 17th, which may improve his starting spot in the next round.
