Satellites are flying high

THE SATELLITES Swimming Club's Speedo squad is celebrating after gaining promotion to to the Premier Division.
The First Division final gala was held in Warrington and the Macclesfield youngsters performed well enough to earn a spot in the Amateur Swimming Association's top flight.
The club has teams in age groups ranging from nine-year olds to the open-age division.
The Satellites club, based at the town's leisure centre, held the annual club championships earlier this month.
Top performers were record swimmers Alice Morgan, who clocked 1.07.06 for the 10-11 year old girls' 100m freestyle, and Jonathan Ratcliffe, who was timed at 1.11.22 in the boys' event.
