Snooker

MACC Snooker B thrashed local rivals Macc Snoooker C 6-0 to claim bragging rights down at Sunderland Street in the Macc Premier league.

Paul Bowden, Phil Cockburn, Rick Aimson, Daz Greenwood and Mark Hughes all having comfortable wins.

Pack Horse A and Morton Hall B fought out a 3-3 draw. Dave Hayhurst and Don Moorhouse doing enough to secure the aggregate point despite resistance from Steve Greenwood, Ryan Smith and Jason King.

Leaders Prestbury A defeated Club AZ 5-1.

In the A league, Macc Snooker A remain top following a 5-1 victory over bottom club Liberal A. Billy Connolly prevented the whitewash as Chris Talbot, Maurice Biggar, Nigel Kinsella and Paul Cotterill showed promotion form.

Pack Horse D beat a lacklustre St Pauls B 6-0. Unbeaten Brian Grooms, Luke and Keith Atkins, Tony O'Reilly and Carl Garner were all on target.

Prestbury B defeated Prestbury D 5-1. An early loss to Colin Brooks did not deter them as Steve Bridge, Andy Kerr, Richard Armstrong and Dave Wilkinson ran out comfortable winners.

In the B league, Macc Con Club continue in second place following a 4-2 defeat of Broken Cross B. Wyn Davies, George Donnelly and captain Mike Hart winning for Cons. Les Bradley and John Benns replied.
