MARTIN Walker defeated Mark Appleton 21-10 in to win the TRC open and claim the £500 first prize last Sunday.
Local interest ended when Pat Casey lost 21-12 in his semi-final against Appleton, while the eventual winner walloped Dave Jackson 21-9 in the other.
The event was sponsored by Paul Clowes motors and attracted county bowlers from far and wide.
Meanwhile, Bollington A (24) take on TRC B (48) in the bowling league's six-a-side semi-final at Poynton Sports Club on Friday at 7pm, while TRC A (-6) face Coronation (18) at Mottram BC also hoping to book a place in the final.
