Point keeps Macc top

TWICE coming from behind - Macclesfield Ladies First Team didn't have it all their own way against title rivals Sale.
Goals from Clair Barlow and Debbie Morris earned a 2-2 draw which keeps Macc at the top of the Cheshire First Division, but they were made to fight all the way by a plucky Sale outfit.
Barlow had an early goal disallowed for a foul before Sale took the lead with a deflected effort. Macc fought back, however, and Hannah Morris teed-up Morris for the equaliser.
Sale grabbed a replica second goal after the break, and it was left to Barlow to latch on to Rachel Addison's through ball to round the keeper and salvage a point.
Rachel Lesser was voted player of the match. Next week Macc face Winnington Park at Ryles Park, 2.30pm kick-off.
