UNLUCKY Bollington were forced to concede their game against Stockport Georgians after two batsmen were taken to hospital.

Raj Sehn and Rick Patterson were rushed off the field as Bollington valiantly chased Stockport's 143.

Bollington had earlier put in a solid fielding performance, with Cook and Waterhouse taking four and three wickets respectively.

Tom Binder performed well as wicket keeper again, taking four catches, but Bolly lost one of our top order batsmen when Sehn had to rush off to hospital during his second bowling spell after badly damaging his hand.

Set a target of 143 off 45 overs, Bolly's remaining top order and middle order batsmen failed dismally, and it was left to the lower order to try to stick it out for a draw, which they were admirably achieving against the odds.

That was until the 41st over, when Paterson was on the receiving end of a very nasty delivery which unfortunately broke his arm, and he too was rushed off to hospital! With no batsmen left, Bollington had to concede the game.

It was a very unsatisfactory end to a very unusual game.
