MACCLESFIELD boss Brian Horton reckons one more win will see the Silkmen safe for another season in the Football League.

Horton made it three wins out of three since talking over the manager's role with victories over Leyton Orient and Rochdale last weekend, and has now targeted his old club Hull City for win number four.

"I had five wonderful years at Hull and Peter Taylor has done a great job there, but if we defend like we have done over the last few games then we can get a result."

"The onus will be on us to force the issue a little bit because we are at home, but I can't ask any more from the players than I have got since I came here. Nine points out of nine is better than anyone could have expected."

The only injury worry for Horton ahead of Saturday's game so far is striker Jon Parkin, who was given five stitches in his knee against Rochdale.

"It's incredible that Jon actually went back on the pitch and I think that tells you a lot about him," said Horton. "We'll have to see how he is come Saturday."

Horton also paid tribute to the 1,200 Macc fans who made the trip to Rochdale on Easter Monday.

He told us: "To take over a thousand fans down there was absolutely tremendous."

"We got the three points we went there for and celebrated with the fans, but now we've got to come back down to earth and concentrate on Saturday."
