Little wanted for New Year return
19/12/2002
SOCCER: Colin Little is set for a New Year return to the Moss Rose after his loan spell at Macclesfield was cut short by injury.
Little has returned to Crewe for treatment on the hamstring strain which forced him off just eight minutes into his Silkmen debut against Rushden.
The 30-year-old striker is likely to be out for four weeks after aggravating the injury, which cut short a previous loan spell at Mansfield.
Moss said that he had been aware of Little's injury, but added that the striker had trained for a week before the Rushden game without any problems.
The manager said: "Colin trained all last week, including on Friday with us, and he was fine. It was just a bit of bad luck.
"He's back having treatment at Crewe now, but I'll be looking to do something to bring him back in the New Year."
