SOCCER: Kidderminster Harriers 0 Macclesfield Town 2

Travelling Silkmen fans were delighted with this display.

Macclesfield dominated the clash and could have won by more than two goals.

They sprayed the ball around and showed dogged determination in a display capped off by goals from Michael Welch and trialist striker David Eaton.

The former Everton player, who has been at Moss Rose for a month, grabbed his opening league goal with his first touch of the game.

As if that wasn't enough, Welch - playing in midfield again - rifled a 25-yard free kick under the Kidderminster wall.

David Moss was delighted with the performance and may now have the striker he has been hunting weeks for right under his nose.

"He's (Eaton) certainly given me food for thought about finding another experienced striker, that may not be necessary now," Moss said.
