It has been a miserable Bank Holiday weekend for the Silkmen.
First, an unlucky home loss to Wrexham. This was followed by a resounding defeat at Sincil Bank.
Chief tormentor for the hosts was Simon Yeo.
Yeo is a legend in non-league circles for his immense scoring record for Hyde United in the UniBond Premier league.
He transferred such form into today's clash (Monday) with a goal in each half.
First, he saw his volley crawl over the line and into Macc's net in the 42nd minute.
Shortly after the restart, Simon Willis made it two before Yeo wrapped up the points with a powerful drive which hit the roof of the net. On Saturday, Yeo was the villain with a sending off - against Macc he is a hero.
Macclesfield? Well this is one match they will want to forget. They started with six defenders and the only effort of note saw Danny Whittaker have a shot cleared off the line in the first half.
