Aldridge completes Macc move

SOCCER: Macclesfield Town have completed the deadline day signing of Paul Aldridge - the son of Liverpool legend, John.
Aldridge jnr has completed a move from Tranmere Rovers to Moss Rose on a non-contract basis.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been handed the number 37 shirt and puts pen to paper after a trial spell.
Manager David Moss told mtfc.co.uk: "He's a midfield player but like his dad he's a goalscorer.
"He's a little bit in the Chris Byrne mould. He's a good footballer and he's only 20.
"He's signed until the end of the season on a non-contract with a chance to prove himself and earn a contract for next year which is what he want's to do.
"He wants to play football and in his words he's not had a chance at Tranmere recently so we're giving him the opportunity and I'm pleased to have him on board."
