Steve Macauley.
Moss: Macauley deal is not dead
27/ 3/2002
SOCCER: Manager David Moss has not given up hope of signing defender Steve Macauley from Crewe - despite Blackpool's reported interest in the player.
The 31-year-old, who has had two loan spells at Macclesfield this season, lives in Fleetwood and is believed to be interesting 'Pool manager Steve McMahon.
Moss said: "I do still want to bring Steve back to Macclesfield.
"He enjoyed his time here, although I'm sure a player of his ability and experience is not going to be short of offers.
"I am sure there will be bigger clubs than us interested.
"But Steve is not just motivated by money. He did tell me he wants to enjoy his football."
