Best sale at the Moss

SOCCER: Football fans swapped shopping sales hysteria for Moss Rose as the remaining West Ham cup tickets went on sale today (Thursday).

Fans queued around the block to guarantee a ticket as Macclesfield's ticket office re-opened this morning after the festive break.

The club are hopeful the BBC live game will be a sell-out, as the likes of Paolo di Canio and Joe Cole descend on the Moss.

A club spokesman told Silkmen Online: "The Moss Rose was again surrounded by people hunting for tickets this morning as the ticket office staff arrived for work to be greeted with a line around the car-park.

"The tickets for the FA Cup game against West Ham go on sale today (Thursday) and the match has certainly captured the imagination of the Macclesfield public with it sure to be a sell out.

"The first people in the queue told Silkmen Online that they had been there since 6am that morning in the hope of getting their hands on one of these rare tickets."
