No plans for the TV cash, just yet

SOCCER: The Silkmen have yet to decide just what to do with the cash windfall that has hit the Moss in the past few days.

Macc stand to make around £300,000 from the third round tie with West Ham United following the BBC Sport decision to televise the January 6 game live.

Manager David Moss said: "The cup draw is obviously very nice for everyone at the club.

"The financial implications are smashing but I don't want it to detract from the main job. I have had a chat with the players today about it.

"The chairman said to me when I came to the club that if I wanted to bring players in then it would try to help me."

Chief executive colin Garlick was in buoyant mood.

"It's a tremendous draw and will make a huge difference to the club," he said.

Any replay, which could in theory go to extra time and penalties yet again, will be at Upton Park on Wednesday, January 16, kick-off 7.45pm.

David Moss has thanked the Silkmen supporters for the way they have backed his team since he arrived at the club.

"I was delighted with the support we have had and I am delighted with the support I have had from the fans," he said.

"The players have given them something to talk about."
