Carlisle looking to big guns
30/10/2001
SOCCER: Carlisle United could introduce two new strikers in their basement battle with Macc at the weekend.
The Cumbrians are one place above the Silkmen in lowly 22nd spot and are hoping to blow away their goal scoring blues with the introduction of two Norwegian strikers on loan.
The two Norwegians are set to begin a trial spell at Brunton Park and could be considered for the Moss Rose clash.
On top of that Carlisle could add to current loan-striker Steven Skinners, with the club's website saying they are looking at bringing in a Premiership club's centre forward on a temporary basis.
Earlier this season, Carlisle were linked with Michael Reddy from Sunderland.
