Tough FA Cup tie against Conference battlers

SOCCER: Macclesfield have drawn a tough home tie against non-league Forest Green Rovers.

The Silkmen will play the Conference outfit at Moss Rose on the weekend of November 17.

But Kevin Keen will not be underestimating his opponents. Forest Green are only 13 positions below Macc in the league standings.

Forest Green Rovers are currently in 11th spot in the table and qualified for the FA Cup first round draw with a 3-1 away win at Fisher Athletic on Saturday.

Rovers - who play at The Lawn - showed their battling qualities the season before last - avoiding relegation on the last day.

Meanwhile, this Saturday's home clash against Carlisle United offers 'kids for a quid' ticketing.

Saturday's scheduled youth game against Port Vale was postponed.
