Jean-Claude hot off the mark in cyclo cross

CYCLING: Macclesfield Wheelers cyclist Jean-Claude van der Beken won two races in one weekend at Trentham Gardens.
The opener - the night-time time trail, saw him record a time of 27.40 minutes over a 6-mile off road course in the dark.
The following day, Jean-Claude finished first in the Karrimor Enduro 6, racing off-road for six hours without a break. There were 203 competitors in Jean-Claude's class.
Jean-Claude, 27, came to Macclesfield from Holland when he was 14.
He decided to make his home here because Macclesfield is an excellent base for cycling in the Peak District.
Jean-Claude thanked everyone who has supported him during this season, especially the Cycle Centre in Macclesfield and his friends who have come to races to ride with him or to give their support.
