Lambert pushing for first team spot

SOCCER: Hot-shot Rickie Lambert is pushing for a first team place at Exeter City on Saturday.
The Liverpudlian youngster has caught the eye of many at Moss Rose and his latest outing for the reserves helped secure a win.
Gil Prescott must now be considering whether Lambert deserves a place in the team for their trek to the south coast.
Lambert and Matt Woolley were on target for the reserves as they overcame Notts County 2-1.
This win over the third-placed County gives the Silkmen and leaders Hull City some breathing space at the top of the pile.
Chris Byrne also featured in the reserves win.
