Another win for Poynton

SOCCER: Woodley Albion 2 Poynton 3

Poynton produced another good performance and picked up their second league win of the season against free scoring Woodley.

After Andy Taylor had set Poynton on their way with a clinical penalty they never looked back and went on to establish a 3-0 lead against the league leaders.

Scorers on the day were Warburton 2, Taylor, McIlroy and a superb individual effort by John Green.

This win followed an excellent 3-2 home win against local rivals Mountfield on Wednesday night. Scorers Andy Taylor, Nathan Kent and a great late winner from Matty McIlroy.
