SOCCER: Wilmslow Albion 1 Macclesfield Ladies 7
LIKE England, Macc Ladies couldn't have anticipated putting seven past local rivals Wilmslow in their first match of the season!
Macc had most of the play, but the defence still had to hold firm when Wilmslow rallied, having several good chances which they could not convert into goals.
Macc played the ball over the Wilmslow defence, continuously pressurising the home side and went into half time 1-3 ahead.
The goals continued to come in the second half and the Macc players were cheering when Krista Oakes netted.
The whole team played well with Becky Snelson and Steph Knott having particularly good matches.
