Munroe asks to come off transfer list
20/ 8/2001
SOCCER: Karl Munroe has asked to come off the transfer list.
The midfielder was listed at his own request last season after he became unhappy at the club.
Munroe has played an important part in some of the bigger games the Silkmen played last season after making his Silkmen debut against Hull City in the 1999/2000 season.
His biggest success to date was his role in the 3-1 win over Bolton - where he capped off a superb performance with a goal.
Manager Gil Prescott said: "It's a great indicator of how good the spirit is at the club at the moment.
"First Steve Hitchen came off and now Karl. He decided that he wanted to stay with us and made the request this morning."
