GOLF: Entries are still open for two top open competitions.
The first is a Mixed Greensome at Heaton Moor on Friday, August 17, with an afternoon start.
First prize is a holiday for two in the Isle of Man, with a golfing break at Hawkstone Park for the runners-up - the contact is Ken Wardle on 474 1071.
The second is a team competition at Northenden on August 20.
It is the 2001 Pro Classic for teams of four with a great day in store for sponsors and players.
