Byrne set for hernia op
27/ 2/2001
SOCCER: Chris Byrne is facing an operation on his hernia before the end of the season.
Macclesfield Town boss David Moss does not believe Byrne can carry on playing until April.
Moss said: "I don't think Chris will make the summer. But we're going to hang fire for the next couple of weeks before making a decision."
Meanwhile, midfielder Paul Aldridge is keen to join Macclesfield after impressing during a trial at the club.
And the Silkmen are likely to follow up their interest in Aldridge in the summer, when his contract at Tranmere expires.
