Silkmen boldly go in search of next generation

MACCLESFIELD Town Football Club are giving away tickets to worthy youngsters in their search for the fans of the future.

They are appealing to schools, community groups and youth organisations to nominate children who have made a special contribution to the community, or who have demonstrated improvements in their work, attendance or behaviour.

And those children will be rewarded with a free ticket to watch the Silkmen in action.

It is part of a national scheme being run by the Nationwide Building Society, who sponsor the football league, called Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow.

Peter Gandolfi, from the building society, said: "The scheme has been developed to encourage under 18s to support their local club and to reward those who have demonstrated good practice, outstanding personal achievement or undertaken community initiatives."

They are also looking for THE supporter of the tomorrow. This youngster will stand out from all the others who have benefited from the scheme.

A member of Macclesfield Town's coaching team and one of the players will visit the lucky winner at their school or group.
