Trophies galore for triumphant Tythy

TYTHERINGTON Juniors’ Under-Eight team can look back with pride on a summer season of numerous highs.
The youngsters represented Macclesfield at the Everton academy’s football festival, in which 20 of the region’s best teams competed.
Despite the draw pitting them in a ‘group of death,’ Tythy won three and drew one game, taking the group trophy without conceding a goal. They eventually went out in the quarter-finals, a great achievement with more than 150 teams entering the competition.
The Tythy boys also competed in tournaments in Salford, Stockport and Urmston, winning each one, and were runners-up at a recent event in Sandbach.
