KING’S School trampolinists were jumping for joy when they lifted six of the eight team titles at the county championships.
The Cheshire final also saw five King’s School pupils win their individual sections, with an astonishing 33 pupils qualifying for the North West regional heats, to be held in Urmston this month.
The team winners were the under-11 elite girls, the under-11 novice girls, the under-11 novice boys, the under-13 novice girls, the under-15 novice girls and the under-19 novice girls.
The individual winners were Bethany Burrows in the under-11 elite, Charlotte Horne in the under-11 novice, Katie Cornish in the under-13 elite, Daniel Allwright in the under-15 elite and Charlotte Attenborough in the under-19 novice.
Coached by the award winning Rachael Burrows, King’s has become a centre of excellence for trampolining in the last two years, as she takes 70 children every week in this exciting Olympic event.
Modest Rachael, 22, who was herself a top class gymnast, said: “I haven’t got the talent to make it myself, but I’d love to coach someone to Olympic level. First and foremost you need to be fearless.”
She added: “Being committed, dedicated, positive, athletic and supple also helps.”
