KEITH Alexander was rightly proud of his team after a brave performance that gave Premiership West Ham an almighty scare.

The Silkmen ended the game with 10 men, and on the wrong end of a 4-1 defeat, but the on-field heroes' efforts put them just 15 minutes away from pulling off the most famous and prestigious victory in the club's history.
