SOCCER: Paul O'Neill is developing into a great player but Lee Glover explains why he is known as 'The Body', in his weekly column...

What a great result that was at the weekend. Bristol Rovers were unbeaten at home but we rose to the challenge and managed to get a great win.

The performance was as good as any away win I have been involved in. Afterwards the lads thanked the Macc fans for their support.

The Bristol fans then applauded the team all the way off. I've only seen this happen a couple of times before.

It was a nice touch and the boys really enjoyed it though the biggest smile afterwards was from the caretaker manager.

The pre-match chat was all about our young centre-half's body. Paul O'Neill is desperate for a body like Tinno's. He's looked at Darren's torso, and thought, hmm, I'd like one like that.

There was a whisper that someone kicked sand in Paul's face while he was on the beach in Majorca, and he was unhappy about this.

The results are not happening fast enough for him. His biceps are not bulging, pecs are not flexing, and his six-pack is a long way off.

Paul appoached Tinno to ask him to write him a programme for a perfect body, and says he will stick to it. We have all noticed that Paul is looking well tanned during this unseasonal weather, and is looking like he has just spent a fortnight in the Canaries.

Suspicions have been raised by Steve Hitchen about Paul's colour, as to whether it's come from a bottle or a bed.

One thing for sure is that he has performed brilliantly for us this season, and I am sure Paul `the body' O'Neill has a big future in the game ahead. Young Rickie Lambert made his first full start at Bristol on Saturday.

Rickie is a staunch Liverpool supporter, and the lads thought he would be made up playing against Mark Walters.

When Rikie was asked if he enjoyed the experience, he said "Mark who?".

The Kopite Rickie hadn't even realised he was playing against one of his idols. That's all folks, I'm off to encourage Paul in the search for his perfect body.
