The final fixture for Wilmslow Scorpions swimming club, the annual Club Championships gala, was a tremendous success, with numerous records broken and personal bests achieved.
In all, 14 records fell in the 40 events held over two nights.
Scorpions swimmers from the age of six took part in the gala and star of the newcomers was Victoria Barlow, pictured, who won all five of her events in the Nine Years and under category, four in record times.
Individual medals were awarded for each race, with an overall winner in each age group presented with a cup. The swimmers with the highest points total for the night were Jennifer Kent, Christian Howitt and Tom di Domenico.
The Twist Trophy, for the most improved girl over the year was awarded to Lauren Beard with the boys equivalent, the O’Hare Trophy, awarded to Angus Ramsay.
The coaches make two special awards to the boy and girl who have demonstrated the best attitude and commitment to the club. Scorpions of the Year were Alistair Ramsay and Francesca Bale.
