Local sports sensation Chloe Doggett has been named Blue Bell Wilmslow’s Young Sports Personality of the Year.

The BMW and MINI dealership has crowned Chloe in recognition of her talent in a number of disciplines.

Following a summer of national sporting success, Chloe received her award and prize of a state-of-the-art mountain bike, worth £700, from Blue Bell Wilmslow’s sales director, Jason Shenton.

As part of Blue Bell Wilmslow’s commitment to supporting local sporting talent, the dealership launched the award last year to recognise the area’s most promising young stars.

Chloe, who lives in Macclesfield, excels in a vast array of sports including gymnastics, cheerleading, athletics, trampolining, football, rugby and dance.

At just 13 years old, she is the youngest member of the Cheshire squad for pole vaulting and trains in Manchester’s SportCity complex and with Macclesfield Harriers, for whom she also represents regionally in cross country and javelin at regional competitions.

Chloe has previously taken part in national cheerleading competitions, and is a member of the Pre Caution Dance Squad and the Eaton Bank Advanced Trampolining Squad.

She also finds time to represent her school at rugby and football.

On winning the award, Chloe said: "I am delighted to have been named Blue Bell Young Sports Personality of the Year.

"Sport is my passion, and I always give 100 per cent to everything that I do, so it is fantastic to be supported by a company such as Blue Bell BMW."

Jason Shenton added: "We are delighted to crown Chloe as our Blue Bell Young Sports Personality of the Year, she is an outstanding young athlete and thoroughly deserves the accolade.

"Blue Bell is proud to support grass-roots sports stars, and the local area is brimming with excellent sports clubs and plenty of talent.

"This award is a fantastic opportunity to give the region’s talented young athletes the recognition they deserve."
