SOCCER: Macc gaffer David Moss was a disappointed man after the Silkmen failed to kill off Forest Green Rovers.

Twice their Conference opponents managed to fight back and grab a leveller after Macc looked to be heading for a second round clash with Swansea.

Macc will now have to trek down to Gloucestershire for next week's replay if they hope to face the Swans at home in the next round.

"I was generally disappointed with the display, particularly with our passing," Moss said after the 2-2 draw.

"Forest Green certainly deserved the result. Their passing was much better than ours and they moved the ball around with much greater confidence.

"There was certainly a lack of concentration at the back, but we conceded a penalty on the stroke of half time and should have cleared the ball twice for the second penalty. It was a major disappointment."

Moss did pay tribute to Rickie Lambert - who twice scored for Macc from a free-kick.

"I am delighted for young Rickie," Moss added. "During my first week at the club I have been impressed with him during training and it was always my intention to play him on the left side of midfield."
