SWIMMING: Issy Centeleghe from Wilmslow made a real splash at the Cheshire County Championships, bringing back five gold medals and setting six county records.

Sixteen-year-old Issy, who swims for Macclesfield’s Satellites SC, had a phenomenal couple of weekends, with nine individual medals and two more in relay events.

In addition to her five golds there were three individual silvers, one bronze medal and another couple of relay bronzes. And despite competing in just a handful of races she clocked up six county records.

These came  in the junior, senior and 16-year-olds age groups in the 50m and 100m butterfly events.

Her brilliant performance saw Issy take home the overall county champion prize and she also qualified for her first British International meet at Leeds.
