Wilmslow Gymnastics Club were among the medals when they competed in a two-piece gymnastics competition.

Staged by the Knutsford-based Gymfinity Gymnastics Club, it was the first competition for some of the club’s members.

In the eight to nine-year-old age group, the medalists were: Momo Ito (gold, floor and vault); Freya Starling (silver, floor and vault); Hannah Kemp (bronze, floor, gold, vault); Karma Kabbani (bronze, vault); Sophie Wheeler (bronze, floor); Annabel Bracken (judges award); Lilly Peren (silver, floor and gold, vault); Grace Greenbank (gold, floor).

The 10-11-year-old group saw medals go to: Esme Plant (gold, floor and vault); Natasha Oldbury (silver, floor); Isabel Wallwork (bronze, floor and vault); Halle Brown (gold, floor and silver, vault); Tilly Spendlow (bronze, floor); Victoria Barlow (gold, vault); Beth Woodhead (silver, vault); Gracie Davies (silver, floor).

In the 12 and over category, prizes were won by: Rosie Bagwell (gold, vault); Juliette Hill (gold, floor, silver, vault); Amelia McDonald (bronze, vault); Abigail Ormisher (bronze, floor); Megan Perry (gold, floor, silver, vault); Mia Hanlon (bronze, vault); Rebecca Williams (bronze, floor, gold, vault); Gemma Hamilton (gold, floor, gold, vault); Zoe Greenwood (bronze, floor); Daisy Johnston (silver, vault).

Also taking part were Jade Higham, Silvia McCarthy, Noor Kabbani, Ella Oakes, Chloe Kirkland and Sophie Davis – all were well placed with some finishing just short of a medal.

Club spokesman Alison Marques said: "We were delighted. The gymnasts have worked really hard and are a credit to Wilmslow Gymnastics Club."
