Dereck Chisora has promised to punish Tyson Fury when the pair go head-to-head for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles next month.

‘Del Boy’ will put both his belts on the line against Styal based Fury, the former English champion, at the Wembley Arena on July 23.

And, despite Fury insisting he will inflict a first defeat on his London rival on his way to becoming a world heavyweight king, Chisora says he will shut his motor-mouthed opponent up once and for all.

"Tyson Fury’s comments and attitude are quite funny," he said. "His wit is just not sharp enough to get under my skin but he keeps wasting his energy trying to.

"He is so desperate for fame it is taking him away from reality, it’s laughable, and he would do anything or say anything to get a headline and when it matters most, in the ring, he just hasn’t delivered.

"People ask what have I got that Fury hasn’t? Well, the list is endless but most importantly, two championship belts."

Chisora is even predicting an early finish against Fury, who is undefeated in 14 fights as a professional.

The 27-year-old, who has twice seen clashes with Wladimir Klitschko fall through in the past year, reckons he can make light work of his opponent in the same manner as former

British champion Gary Mason’s second round stoppage of Jess Harding in 1989.

"I really don’t see anything in Fury that concerns me too greatly," he said.

"I see this as a similar fight to Gary Mason versus Jess Harding, another similar heavyweight who stood bolt upright and got punished for it.

"Training is going great. I’ve trained for Klitschko twice now so I was already in great shape when this fight was arranged.

"My training preparations are spot on and bang on schedule for July 23.

"Now I’m off to Marbella, where the sea air and climate suits me and being away from home keeps me focused."
