Fallibroome Academy’s run and swim star Lara Crawford has capped an amazing winter season of success by recently

winning the National Schools’ Modern Biathlon.

Crawford was competing in in the under 13 girl’s category in London at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, with over 100 girls all taking part in the competition after a number of qualifiers.

It completes a series of outstanding performances from Crawford across a range of competitions since November, including winning the North West Schools Modern Biathlon, winning the Cheshire County Cross Country Championships and winning the Manchester Area Cross Country League.

She also took a silver medal at the British National Biathlon in December and a bronze medal at the English National Cross Country Championships last month.

Croft also trains and competes for the Macclesfield based Satellites Swimming Club, and she has been enjoying her recent success.

“I love running and swimming so any event that puts the two together is going to be brilliant for me,” she said.

Her running coach Richard Goddard continues to be amazed at her achievements and said: “She always puts in 100 per cent effort and it’s nice when all the hard work in training pays off.”
