A MAGNIFICENT unbeaten century from Julian Cheetham laid the foundations for victory but Prestbury were forced to settle for a winning draw against Wilmslow in Meller Braggins Division One.

Simon Montgomery (34) and Martin Constable (32) gave Pretbury a flyer before Australian Luke Presley and Cheetham put on 152 for the third wicket.

Presley went for a perfectly-timed innings of 92 but veteran Cheetam completed his century off 54 balls to help Prestbury reach 281-4.

Wilmslow's reply was hindered by the loss of wickets at regular intervals and fell a long way short on 181-9, Matt Gray finishing with superb figures of 8-52 off 17 overs.

Prestbury u13s defeated Bollington by five wickets. Woods top-scored for Bollington with 25 but two wickets apiece for Seddon and Sherratt kept the score down.

Taylor and Townley gave Prestbury the perfect platform for the win and the visitors reached their total with nine overs left.
