SOCCER: triallists will be out to impress David Moss when Macclesfield reserves visit Rochdale this afternoon (Wednesday).

Former Manchester United youngster Gary Sampson, ex-Mansfield midfielder Jimmy Ghaichem and winger Jermaine Liburn will join Marc McGregor in the Macc line-up at Spotland.

McGregor arrived at the Moss Rose last week on trial from Conference club Nuneaton. His trial at Macc could lead to a move in the summer, according to Silkmen boss David Moss.

Loan midfielder Martin Nash will also make his first appearance in a Macclesfield shirt at Spotland.

Nash had been due to play for the first team against Hartlepool last Saturday.

Ghaichem first came to Macc's attention when he scored against them for Mansfield in a youth team fixture last season. The right-sided midfielder then spent three months at Sheffield Wednesday.

Sampson, 20, joined Unibond League Accrington Stanley after being released by Manchester United during the summer.

Norwegians Per Martin Haugen and Fredrik Hoelseth have also arrived on trial at Macc, but cannot play under FIFA transfer laws.
