Lewis Evans Upholstery Macclesfield and District Sunday Football League by Matt Eagles

AC Bollan are still looking for their first victory after going down 3-2 to high-flying Vale.

Tim Hammond’s third of the season gave the hosts the lead in the first half but Adam Hall equalised and then put the visitors 2-1 up two minutes into the second half.

With 10 minutes remaining Tom Burgess sealed the points with Vale’s third.

Macc Boys Seniors kept the pressure on the top two with an excellent victory against Prestbury at Bollington Cross.

Simon Patterson opened the scoring but an excellent equaliser from Prestbury’s Jordan Pearson, saw the teams turn around on level terms.

The visitors’ momentum helped them to a 2-1 lead. But it went two goals ahead, thanks to a brace from Gareth Hunt. Prestbury could only manage a consolation through Pearson in the dying minutes.

Leaders Pack Horse eased to victory against Ox-Fford as Dave Hancox scored for the third weekin a row, taking his tally to five for the season.

Alex Baird, who had three successful seasons with the Lamb Inn, scored on his debut.

Craig Scott hit the third as the Pack Horse juggernaut rolls on.

Railway View made it two wins out of three after defeating Brewers, a team who promise much but aren’t firing on all cylinders. They now lie bottom of the Premier league with a solitary point.

Joel Hunter gave them a first-half lead from the spot, only for Carl Henshaw to equalise with his second goal of the season.

Liam Fisher made it 2-1 and a Mark Wolfenden penalty secured all three points for Railway.

At Victoria Park, Three Crowns had Gareth Gibbons to thank as his goal ensured their 100 per cent start to the season continued in a predictably tight encounter against Blueberry.

Centre-half James Gaskell earned special praise for his excellent defensive work.

In Division One, Lee Anderson’s Baths team went goal crazy at Congleton Road, plundering 10 goals against a far-from-poor Poynton side.

Their win takes them to the top of the table, above rivals Albion on goal difference.

Craig Poyser scored a hat-trick for the second weekend in a row for the hosts and there were other milestones reached as Danny Needham and Rob Ainsworth scored after particularly long barren spells, Ainsworth firing an unstoppable 30-yard free-kick. Also among the goals were Mark Gee, Matty Bull, Anthony Byrne (2) and Steve Brain. Rick Cash and Liam Eadsforth replied for Poynton.

After last week’s demolition of Chain and Gate, Macc Boys Juniors got a reality check as Boarhound thrashed them 5-1, win that continues the visitors’ 100 per cent start to the season.

Albion Rovers’ manager Steve Walker must have thought his side had done enough to retain top spot after his side made Macc Tigers look very tame.

Albion hit the Tigers for seven at Congleton Road but the Baths’ sinking of Poynton by so many means they are ahead of Rovers by two goals.

Jamie Collins led the way scoring four times and he was joined by Ryan Beaden, Omar Lampety and Paul Crellen.

The Tigers’ consolation came from Lewis Peterson.

Sporting Kerridge broke their duck by taking all three points against Tytherington Juniors at Clarke Lane.

Simon Mason, Steven Bellerby and Scott Sanders were all on target for the home side, Dan Avery netting for Tythy.

Unicorn now prop up the First Division after getting beaten 6-1 by the Hollins at Back Lane.

It was a welcome start to the new campaign for the Hollins who, having morphed out of the Inter Navigation team of last season, know only too well what it’s like to sit at the foot of the table.

The final score did somewhat flatter the visitors who soaked up plenty of early Unicorn pressure.

In fact the home side probably should have taken the lead before Hollins eventually opened the scoring with two in the first half.

Two up at half-time, the visitors built on their advantage with four more in the second half. Gary Larby hit a consolation for Unicorn who can at least take some positves from the game.

Scorers for the Hollins were Gaz Burns, Matt Beswick, John Browning, Oliver Ward, Roy Rostron and an own goal.
