Tipton staying until summer

MATTY Tipton has extended his loan deal until the end of the season.
The striker returned to the Moss Rose in August after stints at Mansfield and Bury, and the Shakers have allowed the 26-year old to stay at Macclesfield until summer.
The club's assistant manager, Ray Mathias, said: "Matthew has been outstanding. He's been on a fitness regime and diet and responded extremely well.
"He's worked tremendously hard to get his weight down and shown a fantastic attitude to everything that he's done."
The fan favourite was brought back to Macc by Brian Horton and, after initially struggling with his fitness, has become an integral part of Paul Ince's resurgent team.
Tipton's loan deal now expires in May and paperwork confirming his eligibility to play in the FA Cup tie at Chelsea has been received.
