Silkmen to take on Blades

MACC Town have announced another international pre-season fixture, against a top Chinese team.

Super League side Chengdu Blades will be at the Moss Rose on July 31 for a match in their tour of Cheshire and Yorkshire.

The Blades, owned by Championship side Sheffield United (hence the name) are preparing for their second season in the top-flight of Chinese football and Keith Alexander will split his squad, with half travelling to Rainworth Miners Welfare to fulfil a commitment to face them on the same date.

Former boss Paul Ince will return to the Moss Rose with the Blackburn Rovers side he has just taken charge of, on Monday 14 July.
