Macc strikers make exits
9/ 4/2008
KEITH Alexander has trimmed down his striking options, after Fola Onibuje and Scott Spencer left Macc Town.
Onibuje was signed on non-contract terms ahead of Alexander’s first match in charge and made just one brief appearance from the substitute’s bench against Notts County.
The 23-year-old picked up an injury and was unable to make an impression on the first team.
Spencer’s month-long loan spell has ended and the 19-year-old, who regularly figures in Everton’s reserves, has returned to Goodison Park after making three sub’s appearnaces for the Silkmen.
Macc had the option of extending his loan spell, but Alexander felt that he had enough forwards and that, without the guarantee of first-team football, it was in his best interests to return to Everton.
