Lee eases Dale keeping plight

GOALKEEPER Tommy Lee has joined Rochdale on a month’s emergency loan.
Both of Dale’s senior keepers, Sam Russell and James Spencer, are out injured, and manager Keith Hill has brought in the former Manchester United trainee as cover.
Macc have an instant recall clause as part of the deal.
Lee made his Dale debut in a 1-0 defeat at Notts County on Saturday, and also kept goal in the Spotland club’s 4-1 win over Rotherham United.
The 22-year-old started the season as number one at Macc but lost his place to Jonny Brain through illness.
Aside from a substitute outing in February, he hasn’t featured in goal for the Silkmen since November’s draw at home to Dagenham.
Rumours that Lee had been recalled after two games were dismissed on Tuesday by Dale’s chief executive, former Macc chief executive Colin Garlick.
