MACCLESFIELD Town were denied a vital three points by an agonising injury time equaliser from hardworking Dale.
Macclesfield had taken a two goal lead into half time, scoring the opener on 19 minutes when Levi Reid poked home at the far post.
They made it two on the half hour when Martin Gritton laid the ball perfectly into the path of Gareth Evans who slotted home from close range.
Rochdale were unlucky not to get back into the game on 53 minutes when a Rory McArdle header was deflected on to the cross bar by Adam Murray, however luck was with them 10 minutes later when Luke Dimech deflected an Adam Rundle shot into his own net.
After squandering a succession of chances Rochdale got their reward when giant striker Glenn Murray headed home at the far post two minutes into injury time.
