Macc youth shake table-toppers

MACC’S youth team enjoyed victory over Puma Youth Alliance league leaders Bury at the weekend.
John Askey’s academy team beat the Shakers 2-0 with strikes by Kris Dennis and Danny White.
The game could have been won more emphatically, with Macc having a host of opportunites, as well as two decent calls for penalties waved away by the referee.
“It could easily have been five or six, as we played some very good football,” said Askey. “In the end it was a comfortable victory.”
The Silkmen youths’ next opponents are fifth-placed Walsall.
