Steve King has raided his Blue Square Bet Premier rivals to bring in midfielder John Paul Kissock on loan.

The Macc manager secured 22-year-old Kissock on a six-month deal from the Hatters and King revealed his delight and snapping up the former Everton trainee.

"He’s a very talented player, he can play in a number of positions and he’s got really good flexibility," he said. "He’s very versatile, he can play in the hole and he’s creative and that’s what I want in my squad."

Kissock began his career in the youth ranks at Goodison Park and, during a career that has taken him to Hamilton Academicals and Accrington Stanley among others, Kissock has represented England at Under-16, Under-18 and C international level.

Kissock joined up with the Silkmen squad for pre-season training this week and King aid he has been impressed with the condition of his players when they reported back.

"They’ve been very good," he added. "They’re still getting used to what I’m trying to implement but I’ve been enjoying watching them. They’re working hard and I’m liking what I’m seeing, no one looks to have let themselves go so I’m happy with them so far."
