It's a case of two out and one in at the Moss Rose, as Macclesfield boss John Askey looks to finalise a deal to boost his striking ranks.

Midfielder John Paul Kissock has joined League One side Oldham until the end of the season. 'The non-league Messi' as he's become known has found first-team opportunities limited this term but will look to impress as he makes a two-division step up.

Meanwhile, defender James Bolton has rejoined Halifax on a month's loan. The youth team graduate featured seven times on loan for the Shaymen last season and will hope for some much-needed first-team action in Yorkshire over the next month.

With the wage bill trimmed, Askey has been able to make some recruiting of his own and is hoping to have a month's loan deal for Waide Fairhurst tied up in time for him to face Barnet this weekend.

The former Doncaster striker teamed up with ex-Macc manager Gary Simpson at Lincoln last summer after two years as a Silkman.
