BRIAN Horton remained upbeat after admitting his team were below par against Boston.

The Silkmen boss was sanguine after Mark Baileyés late equaliser cancelled out Simon Ruskés first-half penalty.

éWe havenét played well and theyéve looked good,é he said. éBut weére not going to win every game and weéve said that before. Youére going to have to scrap for every point.é

Horton was less impressed with referee Carl Boyesonés decision to award the visitors a spot kick - and not one to his own team.

éTheir first came from a silly challenge but whether it was inside or outside the box was debatable. Then (Kevin) Townson got pulled down and the linesman gave it two inches outside. How he could see that from there I donét know because he was 15 yards away.é

But the Macc manager was honest enough to admit the Silkmen were fortunate to have been awarded a controversial equaliser.

He added: éPerhaps we got the rub of the green a bit with the goal and it gave us a priceless point. I couldnét see whether it had crossed the line from where I was so I donét know why their manager is saying things but we had one exactly the same at Chester so perhaps it does even itself out.

éBut weéve got three tough away games coming up but weére in a good position. Weére fifth and we've got a game in handé.
