Macclesfield and District SFL: AT Mary Dendy Fields in Great Warford Lee Malkin inspired Pack Horse to a 7-2 victory against a depleted Broken Cross side as he scored his third hat-trick in as many games to take his tally for the season to 22.

Broken Cross were under the cosh for most of the game and were caught out time and again pushing upfield, leaving keeper Lee Smith to face onrushing strikers with no defensive cover.

Jordan Leigh opened the scoring on five minutes but it took half an hour before Pack Horse scored again, Joel Hunter eventually finishing well after going one on one with Smith for the third time in the half.

Two quick goals early in the second half from Malkin emphasised the lack of cover at the back for Cross but they did sneak one back with Dan Frost firing home. Matt Woolley scored with a thumping drive before Malkin raced clear yet again to beat Smith. Frost scored his second from the penalty spot before Harry Wheetman’s shot was inadvertently steered into the net by Nick Stone who barely knew what was going on but happily claimed his fifth of the season for the Group A leaders.

Railway View made sure they finished top of Group B after a 5-2 defeat of Inter Macc at Windmill Street. It was nip and tuck as Inter clawed their way back through Jonny Kavanagh after trailing 2-0 to goals from Sam Bradley and Chris Coxon.

Jamie Collins restored Railway’s two-goal advantage but back came Inter with Matt McBride making it 3-2. The match changed when manager Ian Armitt brought on Jack Smith for centre half Stan Hall.

The exciting midfielder was in his element, scoring twice to close out the game.

Prestbury saw a welcome return to form as they won 6-1 at home to Tythy Juniors.

Alex Rottenbury, who had been filling in as goalkeeper for several matches, took up his more familiar role up front and promptly scored a first-half hat-trick to show his manager Rod Price what they’d been missing.

He scored a fourth in the second half and Matt Towlson and Craig Trodden completed the scoring. Carl Barlow scored a late consolation for the visitors

In Group C Chilli Banana manager Ben Jackson was pleased with his side’s 4-0 defeat of Albion at Victoria Park, adding: "They showed more desire and deserved the victory."

Matt Fairhurst and John Williams put Chilli 2-0 up in the first half but Albion had a great chance to get back in the match from the penalty spot but they missed it and 10 minutes later they fell 3-0 behind as Dave Finlow despatched Chilli’s own penalty.

Finlow got his second to make it 4-0 with 20 minutes left but worse was to follow for the visitors as their goalkeeper was dismissed for one too many words with referee Paul Heathcote.

Poynton Legion had a comfortable victory against Sporting Weston, playing their first game of 2012.

Anthony Broomhead scored from the spot for Weston but Rob Bradley and Stu Bradley replied with two apiece and further strikes from Matt Roylance and Luke Williams completed the victory.

In Group D Queens Arms had a crucial 2-1 win at home to Nags Head on a pudding of a pitch at Bollington Rec.

Stand-in match official Ben Dunkerley proved more than up to the job as Nags led 1-0 at half time thanks to a penalty despatched past Queens emergency loan signing Marcus Pencheon.

Jake McGarry struck twice in the second half to secure the points.
