Bruce recovered from  going a goal down to put six past their hosts Broken Cross.

Cross took an early lead through Steven Webb’s free kick. Scott Mezaros levelled just before half-time.

Bruce came out all guns blazing after the break and put a further five past them, with Ash Ault, Calum Loftus, Sam Pilley and two more from Mezaros.

Boarhound shocked league leaders Golden Lion by taking an early lead with a strike by Adam Goodwin.

But after Lee McIntyre equalised Jamie Collins, Liam Wilkinson, Miguel Lee, an own goal and one more from McIntyre made it 6-1 at half-time.

In the second half the goals continued. With Danny Hayed, Simon Gibbons, Aaron Walker (2) and Chris Coxon netting,  a late consolation from Matthew Mason made the final score 11-2.

Railway View won the other game of the day, beating Tytherington Juniors 7-3.

In a tight first half Jack Smith put Railway 1-0 up but Nick Hadfield and Carl Barlow struck to put Tythy 2-1 up. Joe Knight equalised just before half-time.

Railway then ran away with the game with Knight scoring again. Jack Wright hit two, with Lewis Taylor and Josh Lewis also scoring.

With a minute remaining Tythy’s Dave Finlow marked his final Sunday League game with a goal to make the final score 7-3.
