Macclesfield Town have dropped one of this summer’s Diamond Jubilee outdoor events.

The club had hoped to produce two events over the June Bank Holiday weekend, Proms on the Pitch and Party on the Pitch.

However, with the club needing to focus on escaping the drop, the Party on the Pitch has had to be cancelled.

Chairman Mike Rance said: "We’re committed to hosting a great family day out over the Jubilee weekend. Proms on the Pitch will be a fantastic occasion for everyone to enjoy and we look forward to welcoming people onto the pitch for what promises to be a unique and memorable occasion."

Proms on the Pitch takes place on Sunday June 3 and features the Proms Symphony Orchestra performing classics such as Jerusalem, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and the 1812 Overture.
